More About Me

Besides my passion for restoring families to a healthier place, I am first and foremost a mother of four boys, one with a rare genetic condition, one primary aged, one early teens and one just completing high school. My extensive life experience in supporting individuals began long before I became a parent, working as a mentor and counsellor for children, adolescents and adults even during my early days as a young adult in university.

Based on my personal background and relationships, I am known to be highly insightful, deeply valuing authenticity. My strength is being able to connect and collaborate with people across all ages and walks of life to navigate challenges and bring about long-lasting change. These qualities enable me to create safe opportunities for all my clients to explore themselves and their lives, even those who have always gravitated away from seeking mental health support.

Throughout sessions, I am very collaborative in my approach with clients; I like to combine the unique knowledge and experiences that my clients bring to each session with my own expertise and knowledge to produce strategies and outcomes that are relevant, effective, and long-lasting. I have seen many of my clients experience change from the first session, and I remain consistent and committed to seeing breakthroughs and growth for my clients throughout their entire counselling journey.

Using psychoeducation and a person-centred approach, I typically engage clients with strength-based techniques from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Attachment Theories, Solution-Focussed Therapy and Trauma-Informed practice, depending on each individual’s concerns and needs.
